‘Luke Cage’ Makes Cottonmouth (and Biggie) King in New Clip
No matter how close we get to the premiere of Marvel’s Netflix Luke Cage, these new clips will never get old. See for yourself, as the latest look at Marvel’s next Defender introduces Mahershala Ali’s Cottonmouth (and his Biggie portrait) in a kingly new clip from the September 30 premiere!
As shown at Comic-Con 2016, the latest look at Marvel’s Luke Cage sees Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes imparting some life lessons to a hapless victim, and simultaneously paying homage to The Notorious B.I.G. Everybody wants to be king, but lest we forget, you come at the king, you best not miss.
Says the official synopsis:
After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
Netflix’s Luke Cage will feature among its supporting cast Sons of Anarchy vet Theo Rossi as “Shades” Alvarez, alongside Mahershala Ali’s Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Alfre Woodard’s Mariah Dillard, Erik LaRay Harvey’s Diamondback, Frank Whaley’s Detective Rafael Scarfe and Simone Missick’s Misty Knight. Additionally, Rosario Dawson is confirmed to her reprise her role as Claire Temple for a more significant arc.
We’ll also likely meet Iron Fist toward the end of the season as well, but stay tuned for more news of Luke Cage’s September 30 premiere!
