Suspended Wes Welker Doesn’t “Know What a Molly Is”

Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker has been suspended four games by the NFL for the "use of amphetamines," which was later reported to be ingested via Molly that Welker popped at the Kentucky Derby. You know, when he was photographed handing out $100 bills to random people after the race. Because that's what happens you pop Molly and you have wads of cash busting out your belt buckle.

Today, Welker vehemently denied the allegation that he took any drugs at the Derby (just liquor, then Wes?) and in fact went so far as to tell the Denver Post via e-mail that "I wouldn't have any idea where to get a Molly or what a Molly is... That's a joke. I don't do marijuana, I don't do drugs. I don't do any drugs."

Some other facts to consider in this case:

1. Wes Welker is the second NFL player to get popped for Molly this summer.
