Cam Newton threw for 254 yards and four touchdowns -- and he ran for 95 more yards -- as the Carolina Panthers routed the Miami Dolphins, 45-21, in Charlotte on Monday night. Jonathan Stewart ran for 110 yards for Carolina (7-3), which gained a team-record 548 yards in the easy win.

Christian McCaffrey had a scoring catch and a run for the Panthers, who broke a close (10-7) game open with a touchdown right before halftime. Carolina then scored touchdowns on their first four drives of the second half to put the game away.

Jay Cutler threw for 213 yards with two touchdowns and one interception for Miami (4-5), which lost its third consecutive game.
