Ravens running back Ray Rice is expected to be suspended for the first two games of the 2014 NFL season. Which, for any other player would be devastating, but in Rice's case, it seems awfully generous by the NFL, considering he was arrested in a domestic violence case earlier this year — of which there is surveillance video that shows him dragging his fiancée's unconscious body out of an Atlantic City elevator.

It's curious, considering the NFL handing out year-long suspensions for marijuana use to guys like Josh Gordon. Meanwhile, there is reportedly video of Rice "uppercutting" his fiancée, Janay Palmer, in police possession, and dude gets TWO GAMES? There is something seriously wrong here — including the fact that Palmer apologized for what happened.

News of the two-game suspension, from ESPN's Adam Schefter:

Then again, even more depressing than all of this is that most people in America are only worried about what this means for Ray Rice's fantasy football Draft stock.
