Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier won't tangle inside the octagon until late next month, but they've already begun fighting. Monday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the pair met in a traditional Media Day faceoff that quickly turned ugly.

In what some are calling "the biggest pre-fight scuffle in UFC history," Jones, light heavyweight champion, put touched his forehead to Cormier's. The reaction was a shove from Cormier, and then a full-on takedown by the champ. That dude you see trying to keep the peace is UFC public relations head Dave Sholler — who was also shoved to the ground. The brawl spilled off the stage and onto the floor, where Jones landed a few hard punches. Watch the videos below for a good look at the action:

The beef continued on Twitter after the casino brawl:

Cormier and Jones will meet on September 27 at the MGM in what is now one of the year's biggest fights. Cormier is 4-0 in the UFC, while Jones is 14-1.
