Yoenis Cespedes Rolls Into Spring Training on Tricked-Out Superhero Car
New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is the motor that makes the team's lineup go. He's also got a motor all of Major League Baseball can't help but notice.
Cespedes showed up at spring training this week on this nearly indescribable three-wheeled vehicle that's about as cool as anything you've ever imagined and right out of the mind of the Marvel universe.
Cespedes signed a three-year, $75 million deal with the Mets this offseason and it's good to see he's being prudent when it comes to spending the money. According to the Wall street Journal, the vehicle cost about $65,000. In case you missed it, TMZ got a look at it last fall:
We'll go ahead and state the irony here, too. Teammate Matt Harvey is known as the Dark Knight, but it certainly looks like Cespedes has found a vehicle that may actually be cooler than the Batmobile.
Maybe this awesome ride will be a metaphor for the Mets' season: they'll jump out ahead of everybody and leave the National League in the dust (and awe) en route to getting back to World Series.
