Hear Run the Jewels’ Latest ‘Meow the Jewels’ Remix, ‘Oh My Darling Don’t Meow’

Run the Jewels’ cat-centric, Kickstarter-funded remix project, Meow the Jewels, seemed almost so far-fetched that any talk of the album seemingly required the disclaimer, “Yes, it’s real” (there even was a “Meow the Jewels Is Real” trailer). But it’s most certainly happening, and now, El-P has shared a second track to further prove its authenticity.

On the newly minted “Oh My Darling Don’t Meow,” Just Blaze remixes -- you guessed it -- the Run the Jewels 2 original, “Oh My Darling Don’t Cry,” with a bed of cat noises. You can stream the song below and download it for free at RtJ’s website. And for comparison purposes, "Oh My Darling Don't Cry" can be heard at the bottom of the page.

On their SoundCloud page, RtJ promise to reveal the forthcoming album’s release date -- which is expected sometime this month -- next week. “A little something to tide you over while we prepare next week’s release announcement,” the duo writes.

This is the second track to emerge from Meow the Jewels, following BOOTS’ “Early” remix, “Meowrly.”
