Arcade Fire + LCD Soundsystem Announced for Inaugural Panorama Festival in New York
At the beginning of the year, the company behind Coachella, Goldenvoice, announced its plans to launch an East Coast festival in New York City. The inaugural Panorama Festival will take place at Randall’s Island Park this summer, and the festival has revealed its first-ever lineup.
Arcade Fire, Kendrick Lamar and LCD Soundsystem will headline the three-day event. Panorama will mark the newly reunited LCD Soundsystem’s first concert in New York City since their 2011 farewell gig at Madison Square Garden. James Murphy and company are also slated to headline Coachella this April, and not so coincidentally, there’s even more overlap between the two Goldenvoice-helmed rosters. After appearances at the Indio, Calif.-based festival, Sufjan Stevens, Run the Jewels, Sia and A$AP Rocky will all head to NYC to play Panorama. The rest of Panorama’s lineup includes the Alabama Shakes, the National, Kurt Vile and the Violators, FKA Twigs, Silversun Pickups, Blood Orange, Foals, Grace Potter, Broken Social Scene and more. Check out the poster at the top of the page.
Panorama will take place July 22-24, a little over a month after the other Randall’s Island music festival, Governors Ball.
