With just two months to go before the Straight Outta Compton biopic debuts, fans are eagerly anticipating the cinematic celebration of '90’s hip-hop group N.W.A. Well, the wait is over (somewhat) because Ice Cube and friends are hitting the stage at the 2015 BET Experience in L.A. to perform for the first time in 15 years since the group split.

Cube, who is one of the founders of the iconic hip-hop group, will take the stage on June 27 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles alongside other West Coast favorites including Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock. MC Ren and DJ Yella will perform numerous songs from N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton album onstage.

The addition of the N.W.A element to the third installment of BET’s three-day outdoor music experience comes days after more drama surrounding the Straight Outta Compton film emerged. On Thursday (June 4), Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, alongside former friend and Death Row CEO Suge Knight, were named in a wrongful death suit filed by Lilian Carter, the widow of Terry Carter, the man who was killed after Knight struck him with his vehicle on the set of the film in January.

While Knight awaits his murder trial, which commences on July 7, Cube and (hopefully Dr. Dre if we're lucky) will shut down the Staples Center performing N.W.A cuts from the group's arsenal of hits.

Tickets for the BET Experience, which runs from June 25 to June 28, are on sale here. The Straight Outta Compton film hits theaters Aug. 14.
