We all understand that the Converse Chuck Taylor is one of the most important sneakers of all time but that doesn’t mean that it’s the most comfortable. Technology has come a long way since it’s inception and Converse has finally given the shoe a much deserved upgrade in the ergonomics department.

The Converse Chuck Taylor II is a new take on the silhouette that is both not invasive at all and is shockingly unassuming. The naked eye probably wouldn’t even notice the changes but a lunlarlon insole and padded non-slip tongue are things that the wearer can certainly appreciate.

A super soft micro suede lining is tucked away behind a premium canvas build that sits atop a stark white outsole that forgoes the usual black stripe running around it.

This is great news for the Converse loyalists as the functional upgrade doesn't really affect the iconic silhouette that we’ve come to know and love. Look for the shoe to hit retailers on July 28 with prices starting at $70.
