Horween Leather is used to make NFL footballs and since the material has also been popping up on shoes for some time now it was inevitable that the two would eventually merge. Timberland is applying this tough material on their classic contractor boot in rugged fashion.

The Timberland 6” Boot ditches it’s utilitarian feel for this football-inspired look and it comes across quite stunning. The pebbled Horween leather covers almost every inch of the shoe in either brown or black, leaving the ankle collar untouched. The brown pair carries this theme even further with white leather laces snaking through the golden eyelets to really drive the point home.

These will be available in limited quantities at select Timberland retailers on Jan. 29 just a week before the big Super Bowl 50 match up at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
