There are certain sneakers that have to be covered no matter how many times they come back to retailers. After all, grails only come around every so often, so when they do you’ve gotta pay them the proper respect they deserve. The Nike Air Max 1 OG is one such shoe, and its return was an obvious choice for our Sneaker of the Week.

The Nike Air Max 1 OG has popped up in the classic university red and white colorway, and it looks as fresh as the day we saw it for the first time. The way the vibrant mudguard bounces off of the gleaming mesh really sets this look off, and those hints of black on the outsole help frame it. The revolutionary visible air technology is there as well, but why wouldn’t it be in the shoe that started the craze?
