NBA Playoff Recap: Raptors Beat Pacers, 89-84, Win 1st Playoff Series In 15 Years
DeMar DeRozan scored 30 points and the Raptors beat the Indiana Pacers, 89-84, in the decisive Game 7 of the teams’ best-of-seven NBA playoff series in Toronto on Sunday night. The win allowed the Raptors to advance to face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals on Tuesday.
Jonas Valanciunas had 10 points and 15 rebounds for Toronto, which controlled the tempo of the game. Raptors rookie Norman Powell added 13 points, as the Canadian franchise won its first postseason series since beating the New York Knicks in five games in 2001.
Paul George paced Indiana with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Teammate George Hill chipped in 19 points.
