Parks and Rec star and former ANTENNA awkward date Aubrey Plaza has been cast as the voice of Grumpy Cat, which is basically the role she was born to do. But in all honesty it's kind of excruciating that we have to talk about a Grumpy Cat Lifetime movie called Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever. I mean, how did we get here? Is this really what we've become? First of all, cats can't distinguish a bad Christmas from a bad regular day, so the premise is patently absurd. Secondly, there's a whole media-industrial complex flourishing because of a cat with a pudgy face that could be interpreted in human terms as "moody." Is this what you want?

You think your job situation is precarious, imagine all the people in the employ of Grumpy Cat Industries, wondering how many lives that little guy has left before it all crumbles. How long until a Grumpy Cat sex tape leaks and the legacy is ruined? How long until our Twitter timelines are inundated with people eulogizing Grumpy Cat?

Maybe that's why Plaza knows she needs to get on that Grumpy Cat gravy train while it's still chugging.

We're totally gonna watch the movie, by the way, since Plaza as Grumpy Cat pretty much describes the voice in our heads whenever we have to deal with our coworkers, anyway. It airs November 29 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
