Chvrches singer Lauren Mayberry may sound sweet on record, but her lyrics have an acidity to them. Add in the fact that she was previously a journalist, and it's unlikely that she's the type to back down from a fight. So you knew she'd have some thoughts after Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda made some disparaging comments about the Scottish trio. We'd call this beef, but it's so vanilla it's gotta be pork, the other white meat. Behold:

A few months back, Shinoda told Noisey, "There’s so much stuff that sounds like Haim or Chvrches or Vampire Weekend that I’m full. The thing I’m hungry for is not that. I turn on the rock station in LA and it sounds like Disney commercial music." We'd argue that those three bands are actually some of the more distinct-sounding members of the pop-rock field, but we'll let Mayberry take the reins here. She said the comments were "complete bullshit" and called Linkin Park's music "pointless," adding, "They’ve been on the radio for how long, and I just don’t listen to that radio station... Live and let live. I will continue to probably not buy Linkin Park albums."

Apparently Mayberry and Shinoda are the only two people in America still listening to terrestrial rock radio.
