Chance The Rapper Gets Jessie Ware, Wyclef Jean, and More to Help Him Cover The ‘Arthur’ Theme
Chance The Rapper has been covering the Arthur theme song with his band The Social Experiment during their live shows this year, and now they've dropped a studio remake with a packed roster of stars to drum up excitement for Chance's Lollapalooza set on Sunday (which you'll be able to stream live). Jessie Ware, Wyclef Jean, Elle Varner, Francis and the Lights, and more contribute vocals to "Wonderful Everyday: Arthur," which was produced by Chance and The Social Experiment.
It starts out as a free-form piano ballad with everyone's syncopated chirps rolling in, before it turns into an uplifting anthem with a blast of handclaps, stomping drums, and squiggly synths. The fact that Chance could get all these names together for what is essentially a glorified nostalgia trip speaks to how much artistic capital he's built in his short time in the industry.
