Common Projects, Lanvin, and Givenchy are staples in expensive designer sneakers. The problem with those labels' kicks, though, is that they're, well, basic. (Excluding Givenchy, of course, because those are just plain gaudy.) Like, what man can justify paying $400 to $800 for a pair of glorified Stan Smiths? That's where Alexandre Mattiussi and Ami Paris come in.

More than just a plain and well-made shoe, the Ami sneakers you see here blend a good amount of premium leather and suede. A perforated toe box and light branding on the heel — something you don't often see on designer sneakers — strikes the right mix of classy and fun. We're pretty sure that if these shoes could take they'd say, "I'm here to drink Veuve Clicquot and get fucked up." People will KNOW THE DEAL when you step into the room.

Fine, maybe the Amis' $305 to $390 MSRP won't change your mind on designer sneakers. But how dope would it be to get drunk on champagne in these?
