It’s been 11 years since the last film in the Barbershop connected cinematic universe, but that hasn’t deterred the powers that be from giving it a fresh trim and getting it back out in the world. Shifting hands from MGM to Warner Bros., the newest installment Barbershop 3: the Next Cut will come to theaters next year with some high-profile additions to the cast.

Walker’s daughter Meadow filed a lawsuit against Porsche under the banner of “wrongful death,” attributing her father’s untimely death to numerous defects in the car’s design. Industry trade papers are now reporting that officials from Porsche have handed down a response to the lawsuit, claiming that the accident and any injuries sustained therein were ultimately Walker and Rodas’ “own comparative fault.”

Creed is not your father’s Rocky movie. The Michael B. Jordan-led boxing picture, set for a November 25 release, hails from the meanest streets of Philadelphia. Sly Stallone had to contend with his own self-doubt and his love for Adrian, but as the son of legendary boxer and Rocky Balboa’s frequent sparring partner Apollo Creed, Jordan has more street-wise concerns. This is a new Rocky, an urban Rocky, a defiantly and proudly black Rocky. The trailer played up the racially-transposed angle of the film, including shots of gang members leering at Jordan’s character as he jogs down the street in training. And of course, a fresh Rocky demands a fresh theme song.

The good folks at the Guinness Book of World Records have taken a special interest in this Spectre sequence, and proudly announced yesterday that the scene constitutes the largest stunt film explosion of all time.

On Saturday, Tarantino flew into New York from his home in Los Angeles to make an appearance at a rally protesting instances of police brutality in the city.
