If ever there was a remake that’s perfect for Dwayne Johnson, Big Trouble in Little China is it. The actor also sometimes known as The Rock has come on board to star in and produce the remake of John Carpenter’s classic action flick, stepping into the role originated by another iconic action star and Johnson’s Furious 7 co-star — Kurt Russell.

Dwayne Johnson is a mega star, whose charisma alone can elevate an otherwise mediocre action film (his bulk and toughness don’t hurt, either). The wrestler-turned-actor is currently promoting San Andreas, which looks to be another so-so movie that will draw and entertain audiences based on his star power alone. While doing press for that film, Johnson gave a couple of quick updates on a franchise we’re all a bit more interested in: Fast and Furious.

Six. Six new clips from Mad Max: Fury Road, for all you impatient readers who just can’t wait another couple of weeks. The above clip features part of a scene we saw at SXSW back in March, formally introducing Charlize Theron’s Furiosa, who gets into a rowdy fight with Tom Hardy’s Max. Theron is featured more heavily in these new clips, which also showcase some of the chase sequences we’ve seen in the trailers.

Now that Avengers: Age of Ultron is arriving this weekend, we can start focusing more of our excitement (if even possible) on Mad Max: Fury Road. We’ve got one final trailer for the film, and it features perhaps the most dialogue and exposition yet — that’s definitely quite a change from previous trailers for the film. What hasn’t changed: fire, blood, monstrous vehicles, and that lovely day Nicholas Hoult has been going on about.

You can’t have a Mad Max movie without some seriously awesome vehicles, many of which we’ve spotted in the trailers involved in intensely explosive action sequences. Just in time for the arrival of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Marvel is teaming up with adidas for a line of new, superhero-inspired sneakers. Most prominently, the collaboration has yielded a pair of Quicksilver kicks to celebrate the introduction of the new character, although the color of Quicksilver’s sneakers makes them look like they might belong to Bruce Banner.

Rather than create an entirely new Batmobile or simply modernize the caped crusader’s more classic model, Zack Snyder basically took the tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and combined it with the vague shape of the retro model for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We got a peek at the tumbler last year via the first official photo of Ben Affleck’s brooding Batman last year, but now you can get a more thorough look at the hero’s super-vehicle with this new footage.

It’s finally here: the first teaser trailer for 'Spectre,' the next installment in the James Bond franchise. After months of set photos and teases, we have our first legitimate look at the new 007 film, which promises to reveal some dark secrets Daniel Craig’s Bond has been hiding for years and years, as well as the shadowy figure who has something to do with it.

Last September, it was reported that Key & Peele creators and stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele were working on bringing their wildly popular “Substitute Teacher” sketch to the big screen. It’s just one of a few projects the comedy duo is currently developing, but it’s now taken the next step: Substitute Teacher is officially becoming a movie thanks to Paramount.

Last night, following a very special screening of The Road Warrior at SXSW, director George Miller treated us to seven minutes of action-packed new footage from Mad Max: Fury Road, as well as an exclusive new trailer created just for the fest. The new footage was brutal and gorgeous, and gave us a nice taste of Charlize Theron’s intensely bad ass Imperator Furiosa.
