Sneaker of the Week: Social Status x New Balance 1300 ‘Winter in the Hamptons’

Hitting the Hamptons seems to be a summer phenomenon but Social Status has decided to explore just what it is to spend the winter there. The Pittsburgh boutique has done this via the upper of a New Balance 1600 and turned around a theme so thorough that we couldn't help but make it our Sneaker of the Week.

The Hamptons isn't just a locale, it's a lifestyle, and this shoe has several aspects in mind in its design. The leather details are on deck to represent luxury yachts while the hits of teal are meant to give off an oceanic feel. This is all tied together by the use of dark denim, which not only represents coastal winters but also serves as a reminder of Social Status's history as a denim brand.

Look for them to release to Social Status on December 13 for $165, which is far cheaper than an actual trip to the Hamptons.
