It’s pretty cool to see Nike’s design team flex their really creative muscle, and this is one of those rare moments where it has happened. A dope colorway is one thing, but seeing a story told through the use of materials and colors is an entirely different animal. Nike has put together a pair of kicks that pays homage to their ubiquitous packaging— and it’s ill enough to be our Sneaker of the Week.

The inspiration behind Nike SB Dunk Low "Orange Box" wouldn’t be obvious if it wasn’t spelled out for you. An orange build with tan inset paneling mimics the feel of a Nike shoebox perfectly, and white accents are folded into the mix as well. As a finish a shoe box icon is stamped onto the heel, and the insole is littered with images of the Nike SB shoeboxes throughout the ages.

The Nike SB Dunk Low "Orange Box" is set to hit select Nike retailers on October 6 at $100 a pop.
