LeGarrette Blount ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns, and the New England Patriots routed the Houston Texans, 27-0, in Foxborough, Mass. on Thursday night. New England (3-0) turned two Texans' fumbles on kickoffs into 14 points, as Bill Belichick's team continued to win regardless of who plays quarterback.

With starting quarterback Tom Brady suspended and back-up Jimmy Garoppolo lost to a sprained shoulder, third-stringer Jacoby Brissett led the team to victory in his first NFL start. He had a 27-yard TD run late in the first quarter after Houston (2-1) fumbled away a kickoff following New England’s first field goal of the contest.

Brissett completed 11 of 19 passes for 103 yards -- with no turnovers -- in the game.

Houston also fumbled a kickoff after the Pats scored a field goal to start the second half. Blount dove into the end zone six plays later to make it 20-0, and the game was all but decided.

Texans’ quarterback Brock Osweiler was 24 of 41 passing for 196 yards with an interception.
