Watch a Man in a Jetpack Fly Around the Statue of Liberty
If this ever becomes standard, we’re looking at a nation of superheroes one day cruising around the sky.
JetPack Aviation has put out this very cool video of a man in a jetpack flying around the Statue of Liberty.
We believe a JetPack should be just that — a jet turbine powered backpack that is capable of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), is extremely light and small and can easily be carried around by the pilot. It should be powerful enough to lift the pilot quickly to thousands of feet above the ground but small enough to fit into the trunk of a car.”
This model, the JB-9, goes over 100 miles per hour, while attaining heights of 10,000 feet. It can also work for 10 minutes. JetPack Aviation has been developing and honing the jetpack for four decades.
There’s no word on when or if this jetpack will ever go to market or how much it will cost, but we’d be very interested in emptying our bank account to get ahold of one.
