Los Angeles-based duo In The Valley Below make for a curious combination, melding Angela Gail's Americana leanings with Jeffrey Jacob's riffy take on pop (or is it a synthy take on rock?), with both on vocal duties. The pair had a mild breakout hit this summer with "Peaches," a song both Buzzfeed and Sirius XMU praised as one of the summer's overlooked gems, and now we're excited to premiere their follow-up video, "Neverminders."

While "Peaches" was breezy and gentle, this one is spikier, like early Cold War Kids if they got their hands on some synths, as it spirals into your brain. The DIY video is part surrealist, part found footage collage (which includes some old school burlesque fare, so it's a tad NSFW), resulting in something that is both disorienting and familiar. Or, as Gail tells us regarding the project, "Some of us need to open our eyes as wide as our legs. I'll have to tell you more about it later, there's a man in my valley below."

"Neverminders" is from In The Valley Below's new album The Belt, out now on Caroline/Capitol. Check out the video, and head below to see their tour dates in support of The Airborne Toxic Event.
