Last we heard from the Hudson Mohawke, he was clarifying that the version of Kanye West's "God Level" heard on an Adidas commercial was unfinished. But the Scottish producer has had a busy summer touring and (presumably) cooking up beats for West's new album, and now he returns with solo cut "Chimes." It's the title track off his four-track EP (out September 30), and while he has spun it at live shows in the past, the finished version is a behemoth.

Spectral synths lead the proceedings, but like TNGHT's "R U Ready," which was eventually sampled on "Blood on the Leaves," "Chimes" employs some massive foghorns and bass bombs, and it's all just begging to be rapped over in the wake of Yeezus.
