A Tribe Called Quest made their Saturday Night Live debut over the weekend and delivered an epic performance of two songs from their new album, We Got It from Here, Thank You 4 Your Service.

Surviving members Q-Tip, Jarobi and Ali Shaheed Muhammad paid tribute to Phife Dawg with the song “We the People.”

“We are all one. We are the people,” said Tip before launching into the track spitting fiery bars of empowerment. Midway in the set, Phife’s voice was heard as he rapped his verse while a flag unfurled onstage with his face. Both Q-Tip and Jarobi stood with the flag and raised their mics to his face.

For their second set, Q-Tip and Jarobi performed “The Space Program.” The dynamic duo brought out two surprise guests -- Busta Rhymes and Consequence -- to help them deliver an energetic performance. "Let's make something happen!" Q-Tip urged the crowd.

Overall, A Tribe Called Quest’s performance was phenomenal and a great tribute to the late and great Phife Dawg.
