50 Cent is headed back to the big-screen in the upcoming heist flick, Den of Thieves. Also starring in the Christian Gudegast-directed movie is fellow rapper-actor O’Shea Jackson Jr., who starred in 2016’s Straight Outta Compton.

The trailer for the movie is action-packed with car chases, gunfights and explosions all set behind the background music of Kendrick Lamar’s thrilling song, "m.A.A.d city.”

According to the XXL, 50 Cent plays a leader of a gang of bank robbers, whose members includes Jackson Jr. and The Wire's Pablo Schreiber. The motley crew of thieves are looking to pull off their biggest score yet -- robbing the Los Angeles Federal Reserve. However, veteran cop Nick Flanagan, played by Gerard Butler, is hot on their tails and will stop at nothing to foil their plans.

50 jumped on his Instagram page to announced that Den of Thieves will open in theaters on Jan. 19, 2018. "This is lit. Trust me," he wrote.

This will be 50 Cent's first movie role since appearing in the 2015 boxing flick Southpaw. Currently, 50 is ruling the small screen with his popular STARZ series Power and the BET variety show, 50 Central.
