The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards are just about a month away, and Beyoncé unsurprisingly leads this year's field of nominees. With a video for each track from her latest release, she certainly had the numbers advantage, but considering the frenzy that the visual album caused, her eight nominations seems a tad underwhelming. But she's up for Video of the Year for "Drunk in Love" with hubby Jay Z, where they'll face off against "Fancy," "Wrecking Ball," "Happy," and Sia's "Chandelier."

Eminem and Iggy Azalea each tallied seven nods, while Pharrell was near the top of the pile. Kanye West, Drake, Arcade Fire, Lorde, Jack White, Ariana Grande, Charli XCX, Lana Del Rey, Gesaffelstein, and Tyler, the Creator also landed nominations. See the full list of nominees at the 2014 MTV VMAs here.

This year's VMAs take place August 24 live at 9 p.m. ET on MTV. Usher, Ariana Grande, and 5 Seconds of Summer are the only confirmed performers so far.
