Manager Luiz Felipe Scolari said he would leave it up to the Brazil confederation to decide his fate going forward, after Brazil was stomped 7-1 by Germany in the World Cup semifinals, and then drummed 3-0 by the Netherlands in the third place game over the weekend.

And now, he's out.

Whether he resigned formally or was pushed out doesn't really matter, at this point. Not after the entire world mocked Brazil for losing by six goals in the semifinals and his players left the pitch in complete embarrassment.

In his first stint as Brazil's coach, Scolari led the national team to a World Cup title in 2002. He returned to coach the team in 2012, and Brazil won the Confederations Cup last summer under his control. But this year's Brazilian side never had the juice to win it all, and wasn't aided by the loss of superstar Neymar to injury prior to the semifinals.

Brazil was too old (striker Fred announced his retirement over the weekend) and too weak in the back to make it all the way to a World Cup Final in 2014. And when we next see them on the International stage, they'll be led by a new manager.

Deuces, Scolari.
